Can you freeze mesa and have it still taste ok?

  1. mesa is either a flat topped mountain or a table! Why would you want to freeze it?

    Or do you mean MASA the stuff we make tortillas and tamales out of?

    If you mean masa, yes you can freeze it very well. It does not have yeast in it that would r****d in freezing.

    I keep my bags of unmixed masas in the freezer to prevent unwanted guests in them. Likewise I keep all other flour and cornmeal products in the freezer.

    It will not change the flavor as long as you prevent air from getting into it. Put it in zip bag and press all the air out. Should keep fine for at least 6 months to a year.

    Be sure to label it as to what it is and the day you put it in the freezer.
