  1. You can freeze them if you dice them and use them in soups, that is about all they are good for once they are frozen, unless you bread them and do onion rings and freeze.

  2. You COULD, but I doubt it would taste very good once you thawed it.  And why would you?  A whole, uncut onion will keep in the fridge for weeks. When you need to dice it, just cut off what you need and put it in a Ziploc bag. Even a cut onion, refrigerated, should keep for at *least* a week, maybe two.

  3. i think they could not freeeze

  4. I've frozen onions when I get a good buy on them. If your freezer is only half full you're losing money running it. I use my food processor to chop them, then spread part of them out on a cookie sheet and put them in the freezer till frozen. Then place in a large freezer bag and use as needed. This will change their texture so they will only be suitable for use in cooking, ie chili, meatballs, soups, stews ect. The rest of the chopped onions are divided into small batches and I put them in freezer bags and remove the air. They taste doesn't diminish, but may rather intensify, garlic also does this. They will freeze nicely for 6-8 months. This is especially good for Vadalia  onions which have a limited season and don't store as easily as winter onions do. Happy eating!

  5. NO, I WOULD NOT FREEZE ONIONS. ONCE YOU FREEZE THEM AND TAKE THEM OUT WHEN YOU NEED THEM. THEY LOOSE THERE VITAMINS AND DON'T TASTE THE SAME. THEY ALSO TURN OUT REALLY SOFT AN SOGGY.
