Can you freeze potatoes?

like the fresh ones that you have to peel and cut up? How can I keep them from going bad? there on sale and I plan on getting 8 bags of 10 pound sack of potatoes. But I dont want them to ruin

Potatoes just dont freeze well, their texture really changes.  I buy them as I need them.  Dont buy them just cause there is a sale, eight 10 lb bags is enough to feed an army!  Just buy what u need.

You don't want to freeze potatoes without first preparing them for the oven or stove top.

Potatoes will keep for quite some time if they are stored in a cool dry dark place.

Are you sure you really want 80 pounds of potatoes at once?
