  1. certainly you can.

1.First, take a little bit of the mashed potato in your hand

2.Then, make it round like a ball (like meat ball)

    3. Break an egg in a bowl and season it with salt and paper and  in another bowl put bread crumbs

4.Coat the ball with the egg then with bread crumbs

5.Fry it in a hot vegetable oil. Fry it on all sides till it turns yellow color

Note: you also can stuff that ball with your favorite food like cheese or meat.

-you can garnish them with any green leaves at the end.

    Enjoy

  2. Yes, just mix them up with some FLOUR to hold them together and whatever spices you like.

I mixed in some pesto in mine once and they were the bomb.

  3. yes u can

    FRIED MASHED POTATOES

    2 to 3 potatoes

    1 egg

    1 tbsp. flour

    1 tsp. parsley

1 to 2 cloves garlic (to taste)

    Salt and pepper

    Flour

Boil potatoes until done. Drain and mash. Add egg, flour, parsley, garlic and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Mold into round shapes, about half the size of a hamburger patty. Dip into small amount of flour to hold together. Fry in hot oil about 10 minutes or until both sides are brown and firm.

  4. I guess it's possible. Put a little olive oil in a saute pan, and try putting the taters in balls first before frying.

  5. Dear god woman!!! That's basically asking how can you get a heart attack... lol

  6. If they are left over and you start with them being cold. My husband actually has me make extra mashed potatoes so that we will have left overs to make into fried mashed potatoes a couple days later. I like to use a combination of butter and bacon grease to fry them in. Yummy

  7. yes my mom make these really good potato patties. you make the mashed potatoes but a little dryer than normally just so that the patties can hold the form. Once the mashed potatoes are done you add a littlel bit of flour so that they wont fall apart then you make the patties and fry them in oil. Make a red sauce like the one used for enchiladas and serve over the patties. they are so good.

  8. I am Indian ,we make a number of snacks with mashed potato as the base,so mashed potatoes are made only to be fried later .Granted it is not the ideal dish for calorie conscious individuals ,but the occasional indulgence is not a disaster .Greater dangers lurk in many foods .

  9. Bubble and squeak mmmmmmmhh

  10. Yes, It's a great way to use any left over spuds, and if you have any veges left over, throw them in as well! there is no recipe, just use what you have got.

  11. yes you can and you can also fry pinto bean patties very easy,,, make potatoes thick, have non stick pan with just enough grease to cover lightly on bottom,  make pattie in hand put on hot pan let brown then turn and brown other side very easy pinto bean left overs drain off juice from bean mash with fork make pattie cook same way you did mashed potatoe

  12. I usually put either bread crumbs and grated cheese with salt\pepper and dried onions in them so they'll hold together; fry them in either oil or butter, but the secret is to let them cook well before turning over as they will thin out as they cook.

  13. Sure.  Then you'd have Potato Pancakes..... great with sour cream on them

  14. Leftover mashed potatoes (and I do the same with leftover sweet potatoes) are great reheated in a frying pan. Just put some butter in the bottom of the pan, remash your potatoes a bit, adding more milk if it's too dry, and spread it all out in the pan. When the bottom side starts to brown I start turning over sections to get more browned areas.
