I may be 4 weeks prego and the way I knew is because I have been going to the restroom a lot and I have been feeling sick, back aches, all that good stuff. I always used to weigh 117 lbs. but after I realized that I might be pregnant I weighed myself again and I weigh 123 now. I been 117 for the past probably 3 years. I eat like I normally do. Could it be the baby?

  1. I retained alot of water when I was preggers. It probably is not the actual baby since it would be VERY small. But it might be your body storing up to take care of that baby. I would take a pregnancy test or go in to see your doctor. It is always better to find out sooner than later if your pregnant or not.

  2. Could be gas and bloat.  Geez, a couple of months ago you wouldn't have wanted to have been in the same room with me.  Prego farts are the worst!

****I wouldn't worry about it too much if you're eating habits haven't changed.

  3. It wouldn't be "the baby" because it is only about the size of a sesame seed right now, if that.  But, it could be due to water retention or bloating.  I would take a test.

I gained 5 lbs right off the bat, but slowed down after the first trimester.

  4. I did =]

I had already gained 6 lbs. at my first 6-week appointment.

I went on to gain 68 lbs. with my baby boy through the rest of the pregnancy ..

BUT I lost it all, I ended up losing 73 lbs.; I actually weigh less now than I did when I got pregnant.

I've always been thin, now I'm just thinner ..

Just watch what you eat and exercise, I didn't really do that; I had insane cravings for bacon cheddar potato wedges, pizza and nachos: I earned every ounce of weight gain I got =]

  5. I gained about 8 pounds the first month or so and then lost 10 then next.  I think that initial weight is water weight because your hormones are going nuts!

  6. Probably water weight at this early stage.

  7. with my son I actually lost weight my first trimester.

With my daughter I gained 8 lbs the first few weeks (mostly because carbs made my tummy feel better, so I was eating alot of them).  Also, bloating is really common in early pregnancy, which could be where some of the weight is coming from, obviously the baby itself is too tiny at this point to be responsible, but you can certainly blame the pregnancy (heck, you can blame everything on pregnancy)
