Can you get a child back after adoption?

Could someone please tell me, if someone has put a child up for adoption can they get that child back after a few years? do they have a right to know where the child is etc

Folks you all forget one thing or should I say one person and that's the Lord above. He gives us our children and he makes final decisions. If there is a will then there is a way. If you want your child home with you where they belong then ask and you shall receive. The law is gray. Not set in stone. Thou shall not judge

im a mother who gave my children up for adoption to give them a better life and now after 9 yrs one of them found me and was aloud to come for a visit and now i found out they have been being beat and miss treated so i have called attorneys and they all tell me i am no longer their mother so i think a birth mother should have a right to her child but in the laws eyes the answer is no.........
