  1. YES YOU CAN BE LINKED WITH A PARENT. I DON'T SUGGEST YOU SPEND MONEY YOU DON'T HAVE I SUGGEST A DEBIT CARD FIRST.

A FEW DAYS AGO I GOT THE CHASE HIGH SCHOOL CHECKING ACCOUNT FOR THOSE 13-17. IT IS LINKED TO A PARENTS ACCOUNT. MY PACKAGE COMES WITH A VISA CHECK CARD. THERE ARE NO SERVICE FEES. ALL THE RULES APPLY WITH THIS ACCOUNT EXCEPT IF YOU OVERDRAFT IT IS TAKEN FROM YOUR PARENTS. SO BE CAREFUL. IT CONVERTS TO A FREE CHECKING ACCOUNT WHEN YOU TURN 19.

  2. its possible for a parent to add a minor to an account, however the parent has to contact customer service and request the forms

  3. i got my first credit card when i was 15

  4. I believe you must be 18 to get a credit card but you can certainly use a card your parents set up for you.  I've never actually heard of anyone under 18 being allowed to own their own.

  5. I don't see how this is possible. When you get a credit card you are entering into a CONTRACT with the card companys and minors CANNOT enter into contract because it will not hold up in court

  6. You can, if the credit card company will give you one.  There are companies out there that will give you one even though you are under 18, but please read the enclosed notices, they can and will charge exhorbitant rates.
