  1. Everything is possible nowadays.

  2. well i know about the wireless speakers for the laptop

but did not see wifi ones yet ! hope they will b coming soon

  3. You can get a wireless speaker system, but to get a receiver that supports wireless costs more money.

You're looking at receivers like the Denon 4308CI and Denon 5308CI to get wireless and they'll support .flac, .wma, .mp3, etc., but to offend such a great receiver with the type of speakers that are currently wireless defeats the purpose.

You will never get great fidelity from wireless speakers, although most of them are probably better than the rubbish BOSE tries to market to people as "high end" audio.

There is no wireless Blu-ray player yet.

  4. An option is to use a good ol' wired home cinema system and use a streaming media device get music from you laptop.  You could use something like a Sonos or a Squeezebox Duet.  These devices sit with the A/V kit and connect over a wired or wireless lan connection to your laptop and stream the music.  They also have nice remotes that enable you to sit a choose your music from the comfort of your armchair.

They also work well with NAS devices so you could use that to store the music and not have to have your laptop running.

Another option is to connect the output from your laptop's headphone socket to an input on the HT amp (e.g. the AUX input) and just connect it directly.

Yet another option would be to use an iPod and connect that directly or via an iPod dock.
