I went into bankruptcy and included a home mortgage. The mortgage then went into foreclosure as a result of the bankruptcy. I have a judgment on my credit report in the amount of the mortgage. Is that legal? What does it mean to have a judgment? I am trying to get a home loan and they want proof that the judgment was satisfied. I can't give that because I have no Idea what the judgment is even on there for because the mortgage was included in the bankruptcy. Any legal advice?

  1. You need to contact the attorney that handled your bankruptcy and have him deal with this.

A judgment means that the bank filed a lawsuit against you for the unpaid mortgage and won....creating a court order for you to pay.  If this mortgage was included on your bankruptcy they got their judgment illegally.

Your attorney simply needs to go to court and file a motion to vacate because of the bankruptcy.  That assumes that your attorney actually did include it and did his job correctly when he did your BK.
