I have a lump I found in my left arm that hurts. I was actually kind of surprised about it. I work out everyday with a trainer and I was working my arms out yesterday with weights and just today noticed the painful lump. Has anyone ever had this happen? It scared me at first but then I wondered if this could possibly happen if you strain or pull a muscle. It is right next to my elbow.

  1. That Lump is known as a knot

I currently have one on my back.

    Sports massage will definitely help.

  2. I've never heard of that and I've worked on building sites and I've worked out for years.

But it's NOT serious. Just a lump. If it isn't sore then ignore. If it doesn't bother you then don't bother it.

  3. no, muscles do not become a "lum" if got pulled or strained, they may have some swelling around it, if that's what you mean.

apply hot/cold compress and see if it gets better, if see no improvements 24-48 hours, you should see a doctor.
