Can you get a positive result from a home pregnancy test while on your period?

i already have a 2 year old and had semi-normal periods for 2 months while pregnant and i suspect that i am pregnant again but i cant get into my doctor for a week and im a very impatient person and want to take a home pregnancy test but i dont want it to be a waste of time or money which are in short supply already

If you are pregnant and the hormone is detectable you can get a result at anytime after your period is due or you have it. I would wait on the test just in case this is your normal period this month.

This question actually made me wonder, i started my period a couple of days after what was supposed to be our conception, and it was an earlier and unusually heavy cycle, now that i see someone out there is going through something similar i think im gonna go ahead and get a pregnancy test because you never know and you should keep yourself informed without assuming.

i have exactly the same problem as you. i am kinda on an odd period at the moment and am wondering if i am pregnant i have the money but dont want to disapoint myself.
