  1. if you do the cop mustve had a h**l of a bad nite and has to much time on his hands lol

  2. 1 MPH over the speed limit is speeding.

  3. Getting a ticket for going 10mph over the speed limit on a freeway (like 55mph+) is unreasonable, usually you won't get caught for that.  But the general rule is, you can go as much as 5mph over the speed limit and the officer won't give you a ticket (or even pull you over in the first place).  It's a common misperception that "1mph over is speeding".  It is technically, but legally you won't be ticketed for that - unless you are doing something else illegal (driving drunk or recklessly, etc)

  4. You can get a ticket for going 1 MPH over the speed limit, but most cops wont do it. And if you arent speeding and they want to pull you over, they will find something.

  5. absolutely

  6. You can get a ticket by going just 1mph over - although that is not usual, it has happened; depends on the circumstances.

  7. Of course. The first guy who said not really doesn't know what he's talking about. Think about it like this, the speed limit is there for a reason, so anytime you go over even if it's just 1mph, you are technically breaking the law. Of course most officers aren't going to pull you over for that. I only start pulling people over at 11mph, but I usually give them a break too. But yes you can get a ticket. Hopefully you won't run into a cop that's that petty though.

  8. Yes, you can get a ticket for going any speed that is over the posted speed limit. Generally police officers will not stop you if you are only speeding by a few miles over the limit, but this rule is not written in stone.

Some people don't realize it, but you can also be ticketed for going too slow if your speed is impeding the normal flow of traffic.

  9. Yes.  You are speeding.

  10. Actually, I got a speeding ticket while driving UNDER the speed limit, so, yeah...

If you are on the freeway going 80 in a 70 zone, police are unlikely to mess with you.

If you are near a school going 35 in a 25 zone - that's different.

  11. 1 mph over the speed limit is not speeding because a cop can't pull you over if its even 3 over because they have to account for the inaccuracy of the speed gun by + or - 3mph

  12. not really..if you did then that cop must of had a bad night with his wife..lolz..most dont care unless you do 10+ over the speed limit
