I am 16, but have waited 4 years for this tattoo already and am too impatient to wait the additional 2 years.

  1. If u can do it in Ky i'm sure u can do it in Ca...

  2. Any place in the U.S is legal to get a tattoo if your over 16 and have parental constent. The tattoo artist will give you a form to notarize (which you can do at any bank).

However before hand, do do DO your research on selecting your artist, you dont want to just randomly pick. Really get somebody that knows what their doing and is sanitary. Then after you get your tattoo make proper care of it and NO vaseline. Id suggest Aquaphor.

  3. It is *NOT* legal to tattoo a minor at all in the state of CA at least.

I just got home from getting a tattoo, and in the process the artist told me about how a few years earlier he was fined around $200 for tattooing a minor.

  4. It's legal, but a lot of places would rather not do it. I live in Southern California. My friend has been trying to get a tattoo for two years now. She's 17 and has parental consent, but no one will do her. She's decided to wait til 18. So I suppose it just depends upon the place.

The problem is, even with consent some tattoo places have still gotten backlash for tattooing minors. It's ridiculous. They'd rather not deal with the problems. Call around if you're really set on getting it. See if they will tattoo you with consent. Good luck!

  5. If your parent signs a form yes. I'm 90% sure, the only way to find out for sure is go to the tattoo place and ask them.

  6. Yes, you can. But why would you want to?

  7. It really depends on where you go. some tattoo shops won't tattoo you even if you do have a parental consent. Because the age limit in CA is 18. But you can go to many different places and maybe one has to let you.

  8. Have your parents call and ask the tattoo shop. If they will do it, then have your parents make the app. for you. They will need to be with you to sign the release form. I don't see a problem with it. where I live if the parents sign the release, it is ok, and the tattoo shop doesn't get in trouble.

  9. So you are mature enough to have a tattoo? Then you are mature enough to wait until you are legal, young lady! Just like the rest of us.

  10. Yes u can, they just have 2 sign a legal consent saying that u have their permission. I went w/ my sister, i have 2 nautical stars im 15 and 2 tell u the truth, a lot of places dnt care! I live in Cali.
