Can you get a wisdom tooth at 38?

I had a wisdom tooth out when I was early 20's. I only had ONE. No others ever appeared. I've having some pains near where a wisdom tooth come come in. Can you get one at 38?

  1. Yes you can.  I am 35 and recently had one removed It was up in my gums I only knew it was there by the xrays...How wierd huh..

  3. Yes, it is normal, though , it is harder on you to be older when you have them removed, when you are younger the roots are not completely formed that makes them easier to extract. I am sorry to say as we get older we don't bounce back as easily. If you are going to a good oral surgeon that will make things better, I would ask for some references and make sure other people have had good experiences with the surgeon. If he comes highly recommended you should be just fine..and could someone answer mine (dentist plz help) I am freaking out http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
