Can you get aliens to contact YOU?

Question

I've always been interested in the idea of other intelligent life. And since I'm a sociologist, the opportunity to actually have an intelligent discussion with a being from another species has always been something I've longed for. Now, assuming aliens 1. exist, 2. can get here, 3. can communicate with humans in a way intelligible to both parties, and 4. will not hurt me, how would I go about getting aliens to talk to me?

if they aren't shot out of the sky first and turned into liquid fertilizer maybe you have a chance of communicating your uniqueness, and assuming they don't vapourise you.

I've talked to animals but they are very quiet and never answer me I tried to talk to a dog once he barked furiously at me,  tried to bite my communication receptacle off my face.

perhaps some kind of sign language for aliens can be invented by you and besides if they're so hot on flying around the universe why haven't they invent some kind of communication device like a pencil and pad.

I think that intelligent life will find a way to communicate - I mean... aliens ... if they are capable to come here and, also... yourself...

They are four pretty big assumptions.

Why would you be any more interesting to talk to than any other human on the planet - from an alien's point of view of course.

Preach to them endlessly that they'll go to h**l if they don't believe in gord. I guarantee they'll curse and swear at you. Not sure if that's the communication you want, but it's a start

Hi! I see that this is your first day on Y/A and your first question! Welcome to the twilight zone! lol Not really. Hope you'll ask lots of questions here..esp. at this time of night. Most of our regulars are asleep at this time and we need some activity for those of us who aren't.

I don't think you can get an alien to contact you. People have been trying to do this for years and I don't think anyone has yet. There are videos you can go to that suggest sounds from outer space or planets...but nothing for sure. I'd think they 'd communicate by  telepathy anyway. I really don't think you'd want to talk with them..From the things people have reported...they don' t do much talking...it's more like "examining" and not fun.

Hypothetically speaking, if those 4 assumptions are met, then these aliens are pretty sophistocated in the area of technology since we assume they have mastered lightyear travel.

They know english, or some earth language, we will assume.

They probably know which frequencies we broadcast on.

What you should do is get one of those 12 mile radius 2 way radios and call out to them. If they want to talk to you, then they will monitor those frequencies and answer you, hypothetically.

I am not going to do this, because I am going to make the assumption that your assumptions are flawed, however, good luck.

I think there are many different types of aliens and I think some are here among us. Now whether they want to answer your questions about the universe, well I guess it would depend on what type of mood they are in. Maybe a few found your question and they'll approach you.

Aliens are supposed to have a more knowledge in technology then we do one of that technology is suppose to be a brain swatcher

So called rumors say they use this to switch your brain (Mentally) So the alien can have about 8 hours roaming Earth

They mostly use this when you are sleeping that is why when you wake up you are in a different position

I was once watching a television show about this girl that says an alien contacting her she lived in a star in the milky way

The aliens name was Sasha

To my beliefs i did not believe that.....

I bet many people have tried to been contacting by an alien but the aliens are to fragile and scared to actually upfront contact with a human

surprisingly we are to violent and mean to these aliens so they are afraid

Studying our life forms for hundreds of years yet no aliens have actually had sudden proof in contact with a human

it's hard but yes. but do not invite them over because thats when they ubduct you on to their shipand perform tests on you. then you think you were dreaming, but you wern't

But you can photograph them.  Whenever you see an air show in your area with those fighter jets doing maneuvers...go and film them and the sky around them.

When you develop the film it is quite likely you will catch mysterious objects between and amongst the jets.
