  1. No. You have to be eighteen.

  2. Whether you can get an abortion without parental consent depends on which state you live in.

States that do not require parental consent are: Alaska, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Washington, Washington D.C. and Vermont.

If you don't live in one of those states then your state has some kind of consent/notification requirement. You should check out the following website though:

    http://www.positive.org/resources/consen...

because some states require your parents consent, some just require that you give them notification but not that they consent, some allow another adult relative to give consent/receive notification and some require both parents give consent, a few states only require consent if you are under 17, etc.

If your state does require consent you can try to bypass this by appearing before a judge and giving them reason why you should not have to get parental consent.

And if you live in one of the states that requires consent you can't just drive to a state that doesn't! The laws of the state you reside in follow you.

It costs a little over $400, but sometimes you can get the costs reduced at planned parenthood if you can't afford it.

In response to the answer that claimed you can't know you are pregnant at 3 weeks...it depends when in your cycle you got pregnant. I knew at 2 weeks.

  3. It's inevitable her parents are going to find out.She cant without their consent.

  4. why dont you explain to her what abortion is and what they do to the baby and how the baby can feel everything the dr. does!!! i dont know if you have to have a parents consent i would think so if your under the age of 18.. but if she had s*x she should take the responsibilities and consequences and this isnt a laughing matter so grow up!

  5. Alright, first off everyone needs to stop harrassing people who ask questions about abortions.

It's ridiculous and if you just end up sounding like an idiot.

    And to answer your question:

I got one done at 6 weeks and it cost $495.

  6. She needs to tell her parents or a teacher or a chaplain or someone she trusts that is an adult.  This is a really big decision for a 14 yo to make.  She will need to know all her options not just abortion.  She will obviously need to finish school but there are many options available to teen mothers like home school or some schools have daycare facilities for teen mums wishing to finish school.  I was 17 when I fell pregnant with my daughter and even then I was very young.  It was a good wake up call for me but I think it was what was right for me.  She needs to know all the options before she decides what to do.  She needs to make the decision that she will be able to live with in the long run.  She may think that it is the easy way out now but in the future she may regret it.  Also she really needs to tell her parents even though this will not be an easy task.  I know because my parents are really religious and I had a got pregnant without being married and at 17 for that matter and it was really emotional telling them but in the end I was glad to have then as a part of my life as support during this time.  They wern't happy aobut it but in the end my mother even came into the delivery of my beautiful daughter for my support.  They may not have been happy with the circumstances of her conception but they love her all the same.  She is now 7 and she is much loved by all her family.  She will need their support so tell her to talk to her parents.  They wont be happy, they may even be disapointed in her but they will be there for her whatever her decision may be.  Hope this helps.

  7. FYI--The website provided by ‘vegetarian chick’ is WRONG.  A LOT of the information you find on the Internet is wrong.

    Per the CA Code:

“Except in a medical emergency requiring immediate medical action, no abortion shall be performed upon an unemancipated minor unless she first has given her written consent to the abortion and also has OBTAINED THE WRITTEN CONSENT OF ONE OF HER PARENTS OR LEGAL GUARDIAN”

  8. if you live in California then yes a minor can get an abortion without parental consent.  abortion cost between 300&700 but if she gets emergency MEDI-cal its free. tell her to go to planned parenthood

if anyone tell you different they lied

  9. Some states have a special law that allows it.

  10. i dont believe in abortion.. and i advise your cousin not to get one.. BUT other wise ignore most of these dumb people who dont know how to look **** up you dont need parrents permission   click the link below and read........ BUT ABORTION IS BAD AND IS KILLING A INNOCENT LIFE!

  11. its too young age to get pragnent / obortion....

    its inyour hands

  12. troll. she wouldnt know if she was 3 weeks pregnant. the hormones wouldnt be strong enough to give a positive test till AT LEAST 4 weeks - the date her period is due, if not later.

    sooooooo....

    your a liar.

  13. i think you should because it should be up to the person who is in that situation not their parents especially when the parents might make the girl keep it and she doesn't want to .its sad that a life is taken but that's how it go's some times.but if it is happening to much then i think the parent should be noticed

  14. In WI, if you go to a planned parenthood, you can have a trusted adult who is 25 or older sign for you, or you can go in front of a judge and explain why you want an abortion and see if they let you.

  15. Tell your cousin that she can not get an abortion without parental consent.
