  5. A- 60

    C- 24

    D- 4/6

    E- 2?

    F- 1/6 and 1/4

    G- mean

  6. A) 5 x 3 x 4 = 60

    B) There are 10 digits (0-9).  So without repeating digits there are 10 possibilities for the first number, for each of those choices there are 9 choices left for the 2nd number, 8 for the 3rd, and 7 for the 4th.  So 10 x 9 x 8 x 7 = 5,040.

    C) Similarly there are 8 toppings to choose from for the first choice, then for each choice there are 7 possibilities for the 2nd choice, and 6 for the 3rd.  So 8 x 7 x 6 = 336.

    D) For the numbers 1-6, 3 of them are primes - 2, 3 and 5.  So three possibilities out of 6, or 50%.

    E) There are 6 possible die rolls, and 4 possible colors on the spinner.  So 6 x 4 or 24 possible combinations.

    F) The probability of rolling a 5 is 1 in 6.  The probability of spinning red is 1 in 4.  6x4 - that's 1 of the 24 combinations, so chances are 1 in 24.

    G) Mode is the most frequently occuring number in a set, so I'd say mode.

EDIT: I realize these are probably homework answers, that's why I explained all my work.  Even if I give away the answers, I'm hoping the recipient will follow my reasoning and learn how to figure out the answers on their own the next time.
