I want to join the army but cant cause of asthma and i want to get rid of it.??

  1. I'm sorry. Asthma can be treated with medications, but it is not something that can be cured. Best of luck to you.


  2. You can't get rid of asthma. It's there for life or until somehow it fixes its self. The army should take you with asthma. They take everyone else. You should talk to a recruiter about it, because that just doesn't seem right at all. Especially when we need all the bodies we can get for our war of terrorism.

  3. Mild asthma can be caused by allergies such as dust, pollen or animal hair. You can get checked out for this and can have your medical determination of being asthmatic reduced to one of having allergies.

    If you wait a bit it might not matter anyhow. They have already reduced the entrance criteria a couple of times due to recruitment issues and injuries in the field. If there is a war with Iran they may let you in regardless of your asthma.
