  1. they don't tell you that. but yes, they just close the account.

    No warnings or anything.

  2. I don't know and I don't care.  If I get a violation notice, I ignore it.  I don't need Yahoo!  Yahoo! sucks and is evil.  And if someone wants to report me, go ahead.  You can't punish someone by removing them from c**p.

  3. I'd like to know that, too, because I just got another bogus violation notice.  Usually, I get "not a question or answer" when it very obviously is one or the other.  Makes me wish I'd just said what I'd really wanted to say, if I was going to get violated for nothing.

  4. Suspended or deleted, depending on the caliber of violation report, but there appears to be no preset number

  5. yes you can look in the rule sec

  6. There is no set "quota" factor in play with violations within this site.... it is more of a thing of Severity OF violations that play a much larger role in one getting a suspension of an account !!  But, an individual CAN be suspended if found to be in flagrant violation again and again on much less serious and severe subject matters !  All of this decision making power rests with the Answers Care Team.... and is their call to make .... and, believe me here.... theirs' is NOT an easy OR simple job to do !!

  7. There is no limits as to the number of violations notices required before a user's yahoo answers account is suspended.

Considering that all account suspensions are coordinated by the yahoo answers customer care team, it is believed that the frequency and severity of violation are considered when a user's account is suspended from the service.

Users who post adult content for example may merit the instant suspension of their account, while a user who is found to be chatting should always only receive a violation notice.

This is not to say that having many violation notices may not merit the suspension of your account, however I know users who have had at least sixty violation notices and are still here.

Just take each notice as a small warning

    All the best
