I've custom made my engagement ring on here. Can I get a better price in stores?

If I brought a printout, would they price match it and/or give me a better price?

  1. Yes you can.

    1. Find a best quality and price diamond on http://www.diamondpriceguru.com

    2. And then find a matching setting on diamond retailer website

BlueNile is not the cheapest place online to buy diamonds and diamond rings. http://www.diamondpriceguru.com  will help you to find a diamond that matches your pocket.

  2. They probably won't match the price because jewelry stores have more overhead costs (rent, lighting, more staff, etc) the lack of a brick and mortar store is why bluenile can offer such great prices.

They customer service there is excellent though if you want to talk a live person, my fiance called and talked to them when he was looking for my engagement.

  3. Most actual stores will not meet online prices.

I've used http://www.eweddingbands.com and found everything wonderful.  Just be sure to order their sizer as their sizes run slightly large.

  4. I got my engagement ring from bluenile.  I did a ton of research beforehand and found that it was the best deal for what I was looking for.  Some places might seem to have a better deal, but they only list a few of the qualities of the diamond (like just the carats, color, and clarity), when really there are a lot of other factors that go into the quality of the diamond.  In fact, the quality of the cut is what really affects the amount of sparkle, but a lot of places don't even list that.  Bluenile lists every possible thing that could affect the quality of the diamond, even things like the crown angle, pavilion angle, girdle size, culet, etc that I had never heard of before.  Bluenile also has a ton of diamonds available and lets you search by a lot of different parameters, so if you know what you're looking for you can find exactly what you want, and you can also try searching by various different parameters and see how that affects the price.  It really helped me figure out what was most important to me in a ring while staying in my price range, and I felt confident in my choice because I knew exactly what I was getting.

"Many people believe that the most important characteristics of a diamond are the four Cs: color, carat weight, clarity, and cut. True savvy shoppers, however, recognize that inferior diamonds can have poor proportions or inadequate angles that detract from the stone’s beauty and lower its value no matter how it measures up to the four Cs. 5. They likely won't match the price. Most stores set their own prices to make up for their own expenses. They are under no obligation to match Blue Nile's price, so a print off wouldn't change their minds. You can always check out places lik Bidz, Half, and Amazon to see if they have deals on the Blue Nile rings you fancy =]
