  1. i really doubt it-i am a diabetic, and as long as the food isn't sugary, i have never had the blood sugars change from food that i havent actually swallowed-so i would think that means no calories are coming through. sugar is the only thing that gets through without swallowing-it combines with saliva, and enters the blood very quickly-and the calories would get in then.

  2. yes, part of the digestion process happens in your mouth because of the enzymes in your saliva. The food starts to partially break down. Its not a lot but you do get some calories.

  3. well the enzyme amylase starts breaking down some large starch molecules into glucose, but seriously do not spit it out, because you will becom anorexic. If you eat healthily you shouldnt have to worry about the calories as well as exercising. so in answering your question, yes you will get some calories how ever not the full potential. BUT EAT HEALTHILY! good luck

  4. are you bulimic? thats probably not good to do...

but if not i have no idea how to answer this question :)

  5. visit a nutritionist.

  6. Britney ! please do not do this !

just eat healthy ...exercise and you will lose weight ..

from your question it seems you have a concern about your body image ... this is the first step of becoming anroexic ..spitting food and you do not want that

  7. haha we have like the same name! Anways yes, you can, but I don't suggest doing this. When I was in middle school I sort of stopped eating to compensate for other things that were going on in my life and I actually GAINED weight. My body went into survival mode and everything that I put in my mouth stayed on me because my body didn't know when it was going to be able to eat again.

I've found that you can take in a lot less calories if you actually pay attention to the "suggested serving" sizes on food and actually stick to them. I freaked out when I realized that even things like a bottle of vitamin water are 2.5 servings!

Besides this, to actually reduce your cravings you should exercise and get a full nights sleep (at least around 8 hours).

Your body has a set level of fat that it wants to take in and the only way to lower it is to exercise.

Sleep is important because your body produces Leptin which is a natural appitite suppressant, and when you don't sleep the levels of it in your body are lowered. As a result you begin to eat more than you would if you actually got sleep. In fact, lack of sleep has been positively linked with obeisity.

Now that's something to chew on. Feel free to email me if you have anymore questions. = )
