Can you get coloured contact lenses when you don't need them to see better?

I would just like to get coloured contact lenses, but can I get them when I don't even need to see better?

And how much would they usually cost?

Yes you can wear contact just to change you eye color. But please go to the doc, they need to measure your eye on order for the contact to fit correctly plus they need to show how to care for the contacts.

Sure, you can get them online for about £10 or $20. There are many types available, and some don't have any refractive properties (if you have normal eyesight).

Yes, in the U.S. you must go to an eye doctor first and get a prescription, even if you don't need vision correction.  It is illegal to sell contacts without a prescription, even online.  The doctor will measure your eyes, educate you on how to care for them, and monitor your health while you wear them.  Wal-Mart/Costco type places usually have an optical department that will be cheaper than a private practice.  I would call around your area and ask how much an eye exam and contact lens fitting is to find the best rate.  Once you have your prescription, you can order the lenses through the doctor or through an online site.  You must order exactly what is on the prescription, though.  They usually range from $30-$60 a box from what I see others answer on here.  Hope that helps and good luck!

yes I got them just for fun....they are approx 20 a pair  you can buy them online
