Can you get eye operation for far sightedness?

I only need glasses to read and need 1.25 but want to know if there is an operation for that.

  1. Being as you say you only need them for reading, what you are experiencing is presbyopia...laser surgery can't correct that. You are probably around 40 years old.

    Presbyopia advances with age and doesn't stop until about 60 years of age , so laser surgery wouldn't last long....your vision will change several times yet.

    True farsightedness is a different thing , affecting both near and far vision. It is correctable after the vision stops changing in the mid 20's, with laser surgery.


  2. My mom has the same issue and they told her there isn't really anything that can be done. It's a common thing with age and it is somewhat of a hassle but I wouldn't really worry about it.

  3. I'm pretty sure Laser Eye Surgery can do that, but I'm not an optician, so I wouldn't know detail for detail.
