  1. Well don't count on it but you can. And since it is Copyright Protection, it would be about $250,000

  2. If you get caught downloading copyright material you will be fined for copyright infringement and then sued for compensation which can amount to hundreds of thousands of £ or $.

I believe if I remember rightly a 14 year old girl in the US last year got fined $62,000 and is now being sued for compensation.

Irrespective of what others say, the authorities are starting to crack down on p****y and if your unlucky enough to get caught, expect to be paying for it for the rest of your life when they make an example of you.

  3. yeh lots, so can the other 100 million people around the world using it, likelyness is 1 in 100 million though so.........

  4. yes you can but it depends on what you are downloading as limewire is full of copyright protected material, the fine would depend on the locoal court and what you download

  5. No no, you wont be. Remember, one thing, you are innocent as long as your not proven guilty. By the way, why dont you use other torrent clients like Bit Torrent or uTorrent. They are much better and dont have security issues like Lime Wire has...!!

  6. NO, Limewire itself is perfectly legal, when you download it if you look carefully at the end user agreement you will see that you have to agree not to use it for illegal purposes. Its the material you choose to download that may not be legal, its more likely that you will get warnings and possible action from your ISP if its found that you are downloading copyright material.

  7. no you cant. but i sugest you use frostwire instead, because it is like limewire pro only free.

  8. You don't get fined, you get sued, so yes you can.

download carefully, watch out for the man..

  9. you can get fined if there is sufficient proof you have violated copyright law

ISPs are clamping down on peer to peer software and even threatening to cut off internet service to users of such software but people will find ways around it and the battle will continue

  10. Whatever a judge feels like fining you that day

this applies to any file sharing, torrents, what have you, not just Limewire

edit: hey roh, torrents are just as likely to get you in trouble as anything else ... Microsoft's legal department once sit a letter to my ISP over one I downloaded, to give you an idea
