Can you get free items from a company?

If I send a letter telling how good thier company is and ask for some free products, will they send me any thing?

I think it is not that way. Companies sometimes advertise for new customers for promotion of sales of existing or a new product. This opportunity if responded rightly can get a free gift for yourself.
