Can you get hair bleaching products at Wal-Mart?

Question

I want to bleach enough of the Black dye from my hair so that I can dye it back to a dark brown. Can I get any cheap products at Wal-Mart?

ps; It's not as dark as it used to be, mainly because I washed with Head & Shoulders everyday since,a nd that faded it a bit- just not enough to dye over.

bleach is not going to take the black dye from your hair. what you need to do is strip your hair, which can be very costly if you do it at a salon. i've done it myself before and it was perfect...go to sally beauty supply and ask the person working there what products they recommend for you and the steps to do it (it's a little complicated, but these people know what they're talking about)

i'm pretty sure that's the one i used; you will also need a deep conditioner (more than one if you plan on dying your hair the same day). this is h**l on hair, but as long as you deep condition it should be alright.

EDIT #2: please, please, please don't bleach your hair to remove the dye!! i have seen and done this many times...a high-lift bleach will lighten naturally black hair; it will not remove black dye!! it's going to turn it orange. stripping the hair removes all artificial color from the strand, giving you a clean base to start with--then you can dye it whatever color you want.

yeah you can use revlon frost and glow- theyre bleach works realllly well and it only like 10 bucks your supose to use it for highlights but i use it to dye my whole head it looks great! just make sure to not leasve it on that long my hair burnned down to root in some places

Walmart does sell a bleaching kit. I think its like $15 or less.

It will lighten your hair so you can color it brown again. =]

Or you could go to Sallys Beauty Supplies and get a Hair Color Remover or Corrector kit.

Just go to sallybeauty.com, click the "hair" tab, then the "hair color" tab, then the "hair color removers/correctors" tab and see what they have.

They usually have everything on the site in the store too.
