Can you get in trouble for flowering someone's car?

my friend had a little ex boyfriend trouble so she decided to flower his car and put chocolate syrup on it. Now he called the cops, can she get into trouble for it? He doesn't know for sure that it is even her but i don't know if his apartment building has cameras.
