I have a candidate that I am looking to place with one of my clients. He would be required to use a company car for work, however he has an international driving licence which has 3 months left on it, would he be able to get insurance with this type of licence before he gets his UK driving licence??

All help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

  1. An Indian driving licence, or an Indian international driving licence is not worth the paper its printed on.

This is not an insult.  I have a full UK driving licence, i needed an Indian one, so when I went to India I saw the agent gave him £40 and now I have a HGV, normal, passenger vechile (bus) also a two wheeler licence. All official.

Make sure that your candidate can actually drive.  If you want any more info email me

  2. HI

the short answer is no they do need an address in the UK and a uk driving licence .

Ask yourself why has he not got the UK driving licence if he has work permit ?

  3. Some insurance company might do but it will be very expensive.
