It depends on how much of a stickler the guy on the door is...carry something else as well just in case.  I know there are EU id cards which are fine as they come from a recognised source.

I wouldn't bother trying it personally. Most door men would just assume it was a fake that you made and send you on your way.

My advice is to head down to your local cop shop and for $20 - $50 you get something made up called a Keypass which is accepted anywhere in australia and can only be purchased at a police station so door men won't even question it.

Pricey I know but think about how much money you probably waste inside the actual club on drinks and entry fee lol.

I guess it is different in each venue. I think there is a 18+ card that you can get - you should look that up. I had a friend who was not allowed into a club in NSW because the bouncer did not recognise her QLD drivers licence as a form of identity.

Anything which has your name, date of birth and photo and is not homemade is good enough for proving you are 18 years of age or over. Door staff would be happy for you to use a british I.D.
