Can you get into the airport parking lot without a gas cap?

Ours fell off a while ago and we haven't attached it back on.

So is it safe to go into the airport ?

There shouldn't be a problem, a gas cap just help seal it.  there wouldn't be enough vapors to actually be harmful.  Although it does hurt gas mileage and usually turns on a check engine light for emissions.  I would replace it soon, and get a locking one if you don't have one.  its a couple bucks more, but there are people out there who syphon gas quickly.

gas can explode at any time. just replace it. it's not safe. you might also be making the gas more stale by leaving it open. also when it rains, if water is going to get in the gas tank, you can rust your engine!

It is not safe to drive anywhere without a gas cap. Replace it. They cost $10!

Most cars have a preasurized fuel system and need the cap.

Probably but why wouldn't you just go buy a new one the don't cost much.

yea i believe so.  The parking lots are usually no where near the planes and no one monitors you as you enter a parking lot.

Yes, it is OK to drive into the airport, but it not safe to drive around without gas cap.  Most car have "preasurized fuel system", that means you must have a good gas cap to seal the gas tank for the car to perform correct.

Drive to walmart then to airport 10 dollars Gas cap at walmart 5 dollars. Plane ticket at airport 350 dollars. Having a Cavity search due to no gas cap on the car at an airport..... PRICELESS
