Can you get kicked out of a school for being absent so much?

im literally in tears right now because my mother and the school agreed to kick me out for being absent so much, and id be absent once a week at most. and im just so mad right now because i wont b able to see my friends anymore that go 2 my school, is this true?. =(

Yes it is true, depending on what school you go to and what grade you are in has certain limits of being absent. If you reach the limit/pass it you can get kicked out of school because it is actually a law that every kid is required to attend school for a certain amount of days. No matter if you are excused or un excused

I know its possible to fail a school year for being absent too much but I dont know about them kicking you out.. It sounds kinda crazy to me.

IT DEPENDS IN GA THEY CAN AFTER YOU MISS 10 DAYS.  TALK TO YOUR MOM TELL HER YOU LEARND  YOUR LESSON (IF U REALLY DID) AND YOU WILL ONLY MISS SCHOOL IF U REALLY HAVE TO SHE CAN THEN TALK TO THE SCHOOL BOARD AND BY RIGHT THEY HAVE TO GIVE YUO A SECOND CHANCE.

well fortunatelly..you can tell the principal..that the only dear thing this school can give you is some friends..tell him..school..must attact us..teachers must make us admire them..love them..like their speaches..and well..so and so..is not big problem they kick you out..here in my country school is obligatory....they contracdict themselves one side saying school is obligatory the other side..noting absents and kicking you out..actual;ly they do not kick you out they make you study again the current year..so is here..you just go and tell them that the kids..from the previous year won't like to have a bigger colegue..they will be afraid of you..and that you do not like to stay among smaller kids..this makes you feel stupid..

yes, at my school, if you drop below 80%, you can be withdrawn.  That works out to 1 day out of 5

asccurse you are for example you were absent 1 day per weeek taht means in 2 moths you miss 8 days 4 moths 16 days 6 moths 24 days 8 moths 34 days 10 moths 42 12 months 50 days and i think 50 days is alout so yes you gonan get kicked

Well it depends on what school you go to and where your located but normally no you cant but what the7y can do is deny you credits to move on to the next grade but to make sure read your student hand book it should tell you

Depends on what's your excuse of being out of school so much and your school guidelines. We have kids who barely ever come to school and they don't get kicked out.

Why were you absent once a week?

I miss maybe 1 day the whole semester if even.

But yeah, you can be removed, or at my school they'll make you retake your classes if you're absent more than so many days rather than being expelled entirely.

you make it sound like once a week isnt alot. and if you arent doing well and youre just there to see your friends you shouldnt be surprised they are doing this.

yes this is true but sometimes if you talk with them you can make it up try not to miss any more schooling it is sooo important for you future and any way it is boring at home with everyone at school wouldnt you rather be there talk with your school and your mom good luck
