Can you get money in France for the aluminum foil from cigarette packs?

someone randomly told me that he/she has a friend who saves all of the aluminum foil (when u open the new pack) from their cigarettes because apparently there is some place/business that will buy/pay for them. is this true? if so where do you go to sell them?

No, it's an urban legend that started in the early 90's and that said that if you took one kilo of them to the local pharmacy, the pharmacist would buy it for 1,000 francs (150 euros).

Of course it was absolutely not true but city pharmacists have had a good laugh at quite a few people ever since! Never existed and never will.
