yes you can get new handle bars for your bike. I suggest you go to a bike shop since you hve to find the right size of stem also at most bike shops if you buy handle bars they install it for free.

I have installed new bars on a couple of my bicycles.  So can you.  I installed wide bars.  Helps open my chest up when I ride.  Also the wider hand position helps with comfort.  

All the components needed, new bars and bar tape, can be found on many websites.

Depending on your bike, one or two hex wrenches are needed to loosen the brake levers and handlebar stem.  When re-installing bar tape, I wrap each bar starting at the end and work toward the middle.  I wrap the left bar clockwise and the right bar counter-clockwise.  I like the Cinelli cork tape.  See second URL below.

Beware there are a couple of different handlebar diameters at the stem.  Important to measure current stem in millimeters and buy same.
