If you have s*x a few days after your last period is it possible that you can get pregnant? I'm not late yet but I am feeling nauseous and I had unprotected s*x with my boyfriend a couple of days after my period last month. Is it possible? I hope it's not because my mom will kill me!

  1. You can get pregnant whenever! Your period is not going to keep you from getting pregnant. Let's be more careful next time and maybe you should speak to your mother about s*x... you sound pretty young.

  2. It's possible but not very likely. Ovulation occurs around the middle of a woman's cycle (specifically, in the middle third): If you have a 28-day cycle, for example, then you'll usually ovulate on the 14th day, counting the first day of your period as the first day of your cycle. If your period lasts seven or eight days, by the time you finish menstruating you're only five or six days away from ovulating. If you consider that sperm can live in the fallopian tube for two or three days, then you have a narrow window in which you could get pregnant if you ovulated a little earlier than normal. If you're not actively trying to get pregnant, it's always safer to use reliable contraception when you have s*x, no matter when in it is during your cycle. But its still possible to get pregnant.

  3. Sperm can live up to 7 days under the right conditions in your body.  Women usually ovulate some time between 10 and 20 days (usually 14) after the start of a period.  It is very possible that you could be pregnant!  A couple days after a cycle would probably be about day 7 or 8?  Could be prime time for pregnancy with your cycle.  Teenager cycles are often irregular and eggs can be released at any time.  Please be more careful in the future if you are not pregnant now!!

  4. Yes, you can.  You can get pregnant at anytime...which means even during your cycle.  Ovulation plays a huge roll, but like it was said already...teenagers usually have irregular cycles...so protection at all times is the key.

  5. you can get pregnant at any time.

    before your period

    during your period.

    your after your peroid.

if its unprotected thats an even greater chance ur pregnant.

the way not to get pregnant is birth control (pills or condoms)

but the best way is to not have s*x at all

  6. It is possible to become pregnant any time in the menstrual cycle, even during your period. It all depends on when you ovulate. Most women ovulate about 14 days after their period, but there are also many who do not.

If you don't want to have a baby, please remember to use birth control. Condoms are fairly effective and easily available. You should also discuss birth control with your family doctor during your next check-up. It is perfectly ok to visit the doctor and not have a parent in the room--even if you are a minor.
