Can you get pregnant while on the shot? ?

I recently got on the shot (birth control) wednesday but i had unprotected s*x saturday..and i dont know too much about this shot thing and somebody told me that it takes 2 months to get immuned and i just had unprotected s*x! Could i get pregnant while on the shot??

Yes you can.  My doctor told me to use protection for up to two weeks after getting the shot.  No birth control is 100% effective.  But you should use some other form of protection until two weeks after your shot.

first off, you should have asked your doctor every possible question about 'the shot' before you got it.. then you would know how long it takes to get 'immune' to it. but yes, you very well can get pregnant while on the shot.. as with ANY sort of birth control. notice there is NO birth control that says its 100% effective in advertisements. if your having s*x, pregnancy is ALWAYS possible!

I just discussed this with my doctor, and she said it starts working as soon as you get the shot because it doesn't need time to dissolve like birth control pills. as long as you get the shot every three months, there's a .3% chance of getting pregnant

heck yeah my friend just got pregnant and she doesn't want the baby she said it was a very big mistake
