If you're looking for recycled toilet paper, try Seventh Generation's brand. If you're wishing to recycle your own toilet paper, however, my advice would be not to do that, but to install a bidet combo/toilet seat and use that instead of the toilet paper, or just opt for the recycled toilet paper and feel good that you are doing something to help the earth while simultaneously not spreading disease (as you could with "recyclable" toilet paper).

In Roman times they used a sponge on a stick that they ran in running  water for cleaning their bums. You could try that.

In other cultures and contexts, materials such as rags, sand, leaves (including seaweed), the left hand, corn cobs or sticks are used.

I doubt anyone would want the job of recycling your used paper.

Though as every one has said you can get toilet paper made from recycled paper. I think that if you are recycling paper, then it's the best way to go as you are then helping to complete the recycling circle. There is no point recycling if you then go out and but things made from brand new materials.

Why "Recyclable" toilet paper (when corn cobs that was once used by people) is a good way to make use of the corn cobs used to make ethanol. This would be the answer for global warming and pad the pockets of those that are trying to get rich off of it. Lets make everything stated to have a better meaning in our lives today.

Don't think it would be very hygienic BUT!

Does any body remember that horrible grease proof paper the schools (late 60's) used to pass of as toilet paper I'm sure once used it was recycled into exam papers?

Nouvelle do a recyclable toilet paper - but obviously made from recycled paper not recycled Toilet Paper !!  Wouldn't advice trying it yourself though mate !!

Shure, you should recycle it yourself. After the first use put it in a plastic bag and you can use it as a klenex later.

EDIT - I notice I've got a couple of thumbs down from some idiots who don't know the grammatical difference between 'recycled' and 'recyclable', and actually would recycle their toilet roll AFTER it had been used!!

You can buy enviromental friendly that breaks up when you use it and hands get a bit well mucky as it is so thin but disovles on contact pml
