Can you get recruited at a college volleyball camp?

Just wondering if college scouts come to college volleyball camps.

  1. They will probably not be attending camps.  They have been recruiting since the end of the season until the May 1st dead time.  They will be preparing for their upcoming season.  And they will not really be sure of the talent at the camps.  

    If you want to get recruited, play on a club team that plays in qualifiers.  There are hundreds of coaches at each qualifier.


  2. Probably need more than that but you can spark some interest.  If you are serious about playing sports in college go to www.sportsworx.com and they can help.  They place 85% of the athletes they enroll.

Our team is doing summer team camps and depending on the player, some coaches have shown interest in various players on our team.  Usually if it's a large university running the camp, some of the staff working the camp will be from other not so large colleges and universities.  I think depending on your skill level, this can be an excellent way to be recruited.

  4. Depends on the camp, but most of them are to bring talent to them so they can evaluate you, while you're paying for it (you do learn at them). If you show enough talent they will show interest,
