  1. I think you can be recruited, but no scholarships are awarded for it.

  2. I was "recruited" to play D3 basketball.  Bascially it was phone conversations after the recruiter saw me play in a game.  You can't get any scholarships for D3.  The best way to get noticed by college coaches is to play travel tournaments.  There are usually showcases where scouts show up.  Think about it.  Why would a coach/recruiter show up to one high school baseball game when he can go to one tournament and watch 50 plus teams in one weekend?

Another route would be to talk to your coach or parents about getting in touch with some of these people.  They usually don't come to watch because of a few headlines in the local newspaper.  You need to be proactive in your approach.

    Hope this kind of helped.

  3. All levels of collegiate baseball have some level of recruiting.  Smaller division try to match athletic skill with their academic program, because winning is not life or death like division 1.  Whats really good to hear is that you understand that in order to continue your career it may involve going to a lower level school.  So I wouldn't worry you are going to play ball, just leave your options open.  Good luck.

  4. you probably have to walk on.

its easy. some ppl walk on to Division 1 schools.
