  1. No

  2. If you and your computer are out outside, then I suppose it's probable. However, having your computer outside, whether raining or not, just sounds quite dumb to me, so that person would kind of be asking to get shocked.

  3. lf its lightening real bad and the power goes out you can get a small jolt this is why its best to keep as much off as possible when we are getting a thunderstorm

  4. You may notice something "shocking" during

an electrical storm, if you do not have any

    "surge protectors." <}:-})

  5. yes but no. you could if you were working inside the computer but the chances of it ever happening to anyone is near impossible. Now is it smart to be on the computer during a huge storm no way just cuz it can cause damage to the computer itself but it will not kill you

  6. I don't know about getting shocked, but it can sure mess your computer up if it starts lightning. I unplug mine even with a surge protector. If you use a modem unplug your phone line also.

  7. ummm...... you can get shocked by touching the car door not in the rain. I am guessing it depends on the electrical current.

I highly doubt you have a problem using your computer inside while it is raining. Just do not use it in the rain. Water+Electricity= Not good :)

You can be "shocked" at anytime though.

  8. Dont Think So.

  9. not unless your computer is outside in the rain

  10. i've heard a story about a guy getting shocked while on his laptop (during a thunderstorm)

  11. No. A lightning can hit the telephone lines and burn your DSL modem or even your network card or even your computer, but it would be impossible for the lightning to fry you.

The lightning could also hit the energy lines and burn the regulator or UPS or pass to the power source and burn it.

  12. If your outside in the rain, then yes possibly.

  13. Why would your computer be outside in the rain?
