Can you get social security benefits if you are a permanent resident aka green card holder?

  1. If you plan never live the United States for more then 180 days per year then you should have no problem

    Also

    Depend what country you are from and if the United States  has a Social Security agreement with your birth  place.

    I know that people from Canada and Ireland can t receive their American social security benefits without becoming a  United  States Citizen.


  2. Green card holders can get Social Security benefits when u retire, if they worked for 10 years.
