Can you get tickets baseball wildcard MLB play off game before you know if your team will be in the play offs

Wanting to see the Cards Play the Cubs in the National League Central wild card play off.

As soon as they sell Tickets buy them, then if your team doesn't make it, you will get a voucher for a regular season game next year.

Cardinals and Cubs cannot play in the first round of the playoffs.  If the best division winning record is from the same division as the wild card the team with the best reord would play the division winner with the lower winning percentage and the team with the 2nd best winning percentage would play the wild card.  The team have to wait for permission from the commissioners office to print and sell playoff tickets.

if you are a season ticket holder you can reserve tickets for if they do make the postseason

Season ticket holders usually get first crack at tickets. The tickets they turn down are then put on sale to the general public.

As the time closes in for the playoff, the commissioners office will give permission for certain teams to print tickets.  Tickets will then be made available as soon as the teams are set.
