Can you get to Malpensa Airport in Italy quicker and more direct by bus than you can by train?

If bus is quicker, does anyone know where to find a timetable for morning travel?

I live in northern Italy and have taken both the train from Cadorna and the bus from Milano Centrale station to get to Malpensa. While the train is a bit faster if you're already at the station, I find it more convenient and economical to stay in a hotel near the station and take the bus. It's more than a three hour  drive to Malpensa from where I live, so that's more convenient for a morning flight. The buses from the station to Malpensa run every 20 minutes from 5 am to 11:30 pm. http://www.airwise.com/airports/europe/M... Hi! I live in Milan.Bus "malpensa shuttle" I think is the quickest way to get from Milan to Malpensa.

You will find the bus near the stazione centrale (central station) underground green line stop "centrale". It costs 5 or 6 euros.

There are departures every 30 minutes.

the bus takes about 40 minutes to reach Malpensa.

you don't have to reserve it. when you go to centrale you can get the ticket directly on the bus.

The suburban trains go from Cadorna Metro stop to the airport and take 40 minutes.  They leave Cadorna at 27 and 57 after each hour, so to get to the airport at 9:37, get on the train at Cadorna at 8:57.

The green line Metro 2 goes from Centrale to Cadorna (5 stops away, so maybe 10 minutes including waiting time).

They say the buses take about 50 to 60 minutes from Centrale.  You could always get stuck in traffic on buses, but if traffic isn't bad the train and bus should take about the same time from Centrale.  Malpensa is about 50km outside of town.
