Question:

Can you get turf toe from high heels?

The bone at the base of my big toe started to hurt about a month ago, after wearing heels out for a few hours, and walking quite a ways. The shoes had never hurt my feet before. It hurts whenever I push off the ball of my foot. It is a sharp pain, almost tingly.

I know turf toe is most common in athletes (and I am not one), but can other things, like heels, cause the same problem?

  1. It's possible. Consult with a podiatrist to be certain.
