Can you get your speeding ticket dropped?

I was pulled over for speeding i was going 51 in a 35 speed zone. On the "notice to appear" the office worte that the vehicle that i was driving was black but its grey. The thing is that the car isnt mine and its regiestered under my friends dad. The officer also wrote that the car was registered under my name which it isnt. I was just wondering if the fine could be dropped?

your driver license registered to your name that's all the court needs not what color car you driving, or who owns the car,unless you under age,,,,

This is a common mistake by officers and it would not make a difference to the violation you committed. But you can ask the DA if you can plea to a lesser charge, like improper equipment for speeding. Not because of the mistake, just to ask for help !
