  1. You never ever give hamster a bath.  They clean themselves.  Leave the hamster alone.

  2. Um... as someone else already pointed out, it's dwarf, not dwarve.

No, you should never bathe hamsters. They can easily catch colds and die. The only time you should bathe a hamster is if it has anything toxic on it. If that happens, don't soak the hamster in water, get a damp cloth and clean the hamster like that. Other than that, there is absolutely no reason why you should bathe a hamster. They are good cleaners and they clean themselves almost like cats do.

  3. DOOOO NOTT GIVE YOUR HAMSTER A BATH!! ps..its dwarf. they will get cold and sick and then die...

  4. No but u can buy a spray that doesn't hurt their eyes and it takes out the smell

  5. No, you cannot do that.

Giving bath to hamsters are dangerous, as it can cause respiratory problems.

If the fur gets very sticky and dirty,

    *Get a clean cloth.

    *Soak it with water

*Squeeze the cloth until the water is drained off, leaving the cloth wet.

*Gently rub the cloth on the hamster's fur and let your hamster dry in the sun.

There are hamster shampoos available in pet stores, but I don't recommend them.

    Stay on the safe side!

However, get your hamster the sand bath (they are available at pet stores)

Sand bath is essential. It's a special kind of sand for rodents...hamsters love to dig in and clean themselves.

They are helpful and smell good too!

a safe solution for a clean hamster

  8. No, it can die or get sick.

    bye

  9. No.  They'll get too cold and either get sick or die.

What you could do is buy a box of Chinchilla Bath Sand, (make sure it's sand, not DUST) put some in a bowl and let them roll around in it for 10 minutes or so. It helps get excess oil out of their fur, but it doesn't remove the oil they need like water would. If you do this, don't leave the bowl of sand in the cage long, just long enough for them to roll around in it, then take it out.

  10. There's one answer and one answer only.

    NO.

That's the only way to put it. ONLY give your hamster a bath if recommended by the vet (eg. if your hamster has mites or a skin desease).

  11. no you cant because if you do it will kill them. the sad thing is that my uncle tried it and his died. in fact you cant give any hamster a bath

  12. They prefer showers.

  13. its...DWARF! and yes but in the sink with just a tad of water and small animal shampoo! barely get the hammy wet and when you are done wrap it in a towel until its almost dry! (and i dont really recommend it for small little dwarf hammys a dust bath is better)

  14. you might be able to wet them down a little bit, but not some full on bath... if it is like caked with p**p and stuff, but not because you just want to give it a bath

  15. Not really a good idea.  They are desert critters and are self cleaning units.  :-)  They prefer to use dust to clean themselves.  A little container with some special sand that you can get at the pet store will do nicely.
