If im a canadian soldier(or even American): what are my Chances -

- of Death

- Serious Injury

- Minor Injury

- Psychological/Mental Damage

- Surviving Perfectly fine.

  2. This isn't something that can be determined. It depends on your branch, for one. And your job. Even if you were to something like an intel job in the Army, and if you were stationed in Iraq, you should die from a roadside bomb going off.

    Something like 4,200 American soliders have died since the start of the Iraqi war. 71% Army, 22%USMC, 5% Navy, 2% Air Force, and only 1 Coastie. I imagine there have been 100,000 to 200,000 soilders, airmen, sailors, marines and coasties deployed to the area. I am not saying that the four thousand isn't a lot of deaths, it is. But it isn't like everyone who is going over is dying.

    I'd imagine you would need counseling after a deployment. The military has chaplains and therapists to help. Ultimately, God is decides when you die. You could be an accountant and be run over by a bus one day. You cannot predict anything in your mortality.
