it may help a little but the people who design the equipment size the coils  to fit the compressor using the least amount of electricity.

so if your unit is fairly new i do not think it would be worth the cost to install,and if its an older one a new unit will be more cost effective anyway.

Nothing revolutionary here, it looks like it would provide a slight boost in the efficiency of some HVAC systems.  If you're planning to cool anything smaller than a warehouse or office block you probably won't notice any difference.
