  1. my little guy like butternut branches and sticks.

  2. they love apple branches, as long as you don't collect it from the roadside because of automobile fumes.

  3. there all OK any kind i have a hamster i feed him all kids hes fine :-)

  4. I think apple is okay but be careful cos some is poisonous

  5. Yeah, it is true that some hamster sites recommend giving hamsters apple tree wood for their chewing. But personally I would not want to do it since I would not be sure about giving untreated wood to hamsters to chew on. It might be poisonous to them. Hence always go only for treated wood chew sticks available at pet shops. Other alternatives you can give your hamster are empty toilet roll tubes (hamsters love to chew them and they are very safe) and hard dog biscuits (sugar free).

  6. "...pesticide-free twigs from beech trees, maples, willows, hazelnut bushes or fruit trees" are okay for hamsters.  If you know for sure, it has no pesticides, you should bake the branch at 400 for 20-40 minutes to kill any insects and bacteria that might be on it.

    Hope that helps!

  7. no it will kill them.............
