  1. boiled kidney beans with some tasty sauce, coleslaw salad, sauted corns.

  2. quail eggs, boil them cut them in half scoop the yoke out and mix with with a small amount of chili flakes or powder a little mayo.pipe them back into the egg whites. and put a little of slice of spring onion  into it on one side , i use the green top of the onion , and slice it in half. if you dont wants to use chili use fresh herbs like thyme and chives you could use cream cheese with chives to mix with the egg yoke and leave out the mayo .

but with  canape its all about colour, and presentation. you could put them on a sliver tray in the cup cake cases the very small ones. then they are easy for people to pick up , good luck and have a great party.

ps Quail eggs are classic and classy

  6. How about Smoked Salmon Canapes with Mascarpone Cheese.  It's really yummy. (The sweetnes of mascarpone cheese makes these canapes special. A lightly smoked salmon works best in this mild combination.)

1-inch-high cone shapes. Stir mascarpone cheese with chopped dill

until fluffy. Fit pastry bag with fine tube. Fill pastry bag with

dill cheese.. To assemble, spread chive butter on bread rounds. Place

rolled salmon cones upright on bread rounds. Pipe dill cheese into

hours in advance and refrigerated. Before serving, let stand briefly

    to remove chill.

  7. this one is extremely simple to put together and is so delicious!

buy fresh bread, i prefer to use potato bread for this. spread a thin layer of mayonnaise one either side. toast in an oven at 350 degrees browning each side but being careful not to burn.

cut the bread into whatever shapes you like using a cookie cutter.

place a thin slice or shaving of smoked grueyer cheese on each piece of bread. top with cracked pepper and a sliced strawberry.

    its DELICIOUS and simple.

if you want to add a twist to this, add a dollop of fig jam onto the cheese before adding the pepper and strawberry.

  8. go for mini cheesecakes. Mix biscuit with butter and put hem in little shot glasses and chill. Mix mascapone cheese, sugar and orange zest together until a good thick consistancy and place over the biscuits in the shot glasses. Chill overnight ideally and for presentation, grate some chocolate over the top of each one. Looks gret and tastes even better. (Change the orange for another flavour e.g. vanilaessence if you like)

  9. Mini toad in the hole or mini yorkshire puds with roast beef and horseradish sauce goes down well.

  10. mini bruscetta is really easy and fairly cheap. Slice a baguette really thinly and put on and oven tray, drizzle with olive oil and lightly toast in the oven. (keep an eye on it cos they can burn easily)

top with a variety of things and lightly grill....

    Tomato, goats cheese and basil

    Salsa and grated cheese

    pesto, feta and olive

    salsa, prawns and creme fraiche

youc an use your imagination depending on budget.

    Makes LOADS

  11. Blinis are nice - tiny scotch pancakes with  toppings, usually salmon.

Here's a recipe for it - it shows making the pancakes from scratch but you can get mini pancakes from the supermarket for a quick and easy solution.
