So I try writing everyday, because if I don't, I have crazy dreams that keep me up last night... Does anyone have a poetry prompt for me? Thanks. I just haven't been inspired today. Thanks.

  1. Write about the happiness that is still deep inside you. Think about what you have going for you that is good and how it will grow with time. If that fails create a whole new you. Make the life of that person exactly how you want yours to turn out. You never know, you may even end up answering some of your own questions to life.

  2. Can you please smell the flower "camia" and write about its fragrance?   It's a white flower.  English name starts with "Ginger" something.   I forgot how it smells.   And there's not much flowers in Saudi Arabia where I am.  At least, in our camp accommodation.   Everythin' is just stark dark.   With only the sandstorm to titillate your olfactory senses.

  3. Write about moving.

  4. You should look outside and write a poem about the moon.  Put all your focus on the moon (or anything, but preferably not man made like flowers, weeds, pets, birds, trees, sky, boyfriend's face or body, etc...)  If you don't know what to say about it, then just describe it...that'll usually turn into a poem for me.  Hope this helps.

  5. You have prompted yourself, by writings of your Q here.

Pause for some quiet time, pick something of your feelings from that, it will hit you when ready. safe move, stay well.

  6. Write about moving. I remember when I moved out of my parent's house the first time I started crying because I had to leave so much behind...  Moving can be a very emotional experience- even if yours isn't, imagine it from the point of view of someone whose is. You don't have to write about YOUR life. Poetry can be fiction- in fact, creative writing classes will teach you to try to seperate yourself from your work because it makes for clearer, more concise writing.

  7. You're expressing your way of your own life that you don't want to deal with all of this stuff. I love the way you've wrote and it's very, very, very, very interesting.

  8. I LOVE YOUR WRITTING..=]

  9. Write about writer's block. Write about being unable to write.

Come on, there's no such thing as writer's block.

  10. How old are you?  Look around at your life.  What have you done today in a normal life.  Be inspired by the 'day in your life', the teacher, your parents, school, job, whatever.

And yes, I do know what you mean about the need to write.  It is a great cathartic gift that we have to help us vent our feelings and what impacts us.

Y'know we could've used the details that you have since written beneath your question to help you.  Sometimes the reason folks posting don't get what they want is because they are too VAGUE in their questions.

With the info you have added in mind, why don't you write about a happier time in your life, perhaps in your childhood before adult complications became the norm. . . . .a 'soft' moment or day that gives you comfort.

  11. How old are you?

  12. Love writing poetry, hate that you have to wait a week to learn more.

  13. Terrible Treasure,

I used to have inspiration at the most inopportune moments. So I bought a microcassette recorder and stick it in my pocket when I go to the park, on a walk or when I sit down and play my guitar! Now when a sonnet or lyrics comes out of the blue, I record a talking version to process it later. It will help you tremendously...

  14. Hoping , wishing , and hoping again

    Tomorrow 's lighter, brighter,

    conceiving no pain..

No fears , no tears, no hugging goodbye

    No cutting, no running,

    No missing the train..

THIS WAS 4 Ur NEW APARTMENT..

  15. i hope god bless you n give all you want to.......!~

  16. i can't remember

  17. I don't know what works for everyone else but I know what works for me. I could tell you but it might be better understood if I tell you how I think instead.

I take a simple thing like a tear and compare it to a smile.

I think of things that relate to both... like sadness and happiness... a baby crying and a clown with a funny face....

I mix them together like a sad clown with a funny face.

A happy baby that doesn't realize her mom has left her all alone.

And I compare it to my life... the clowns I've seen and the children I've seen unloved.

I take those things and I write about them as I try to relate to them.

Start with simple things. Try to identify with them. Twist and turn them around like they are a jigsaw puzzle and see if you can make them fit.

Every poem doesn't have to be about love and hate. I once wrote a poem about loving my commode and the reasons why... because it made me laugh while I was doing it.

So what I am saying is you can inspire yourself if you take time to see the cobwebs on your wall, or maybe just go to the bathroom. good luck

  18. futility versus faith

  19. maybe you should start to right an on-going story or book. thats what im doing. because you can always add on to it, and you can use ur imagination to create a world thats all your own. whenever you want to you can escape to this place with your own made up characters, and you can morf the story to however you would like. i love it, its my escape

  20. aborting your child

    mom and then dad

  21. C:\

there , i hope that helps.

  22. Prompt: Escape.

I think it's a broad subject you could work with. Definitely a lot of different options.

And I completely, totally identify with you. For me writing poetry is the only way I can keep from going insane, or worse. It's as though, if I don't write them out with poetry, I suffocate on my feelings.

    ANYWAY!

Hope that prompt helps you out with your writing. ♥

  23. I have it the perfect prompt for you or idea however you want to look at it -- the great part is all poets will relate to it!

Write about how your passion drives you to bring a notebook with you, how it inspires you so much sometimes you can't sleep! Put this in very descriptive words and this also can be constructive and could therapeutic for you!!  Ready go!!! Tell about your passion---Cheers!!

  30. hey

u know this urge to write, to express urself is associated with a sense of loneliness , a lack of completion , a feeling of hollowness... try to think of what u wish to do , what u think that u should in times of despair, ... write it sumwhere n then compel urself to comply with or state reasons for not doing it...

it is true tat watever u think isn't always correct but when u don't have a guide in life its better to write and then debate the pros cons with urself....

think logically of a person, not urself (it helps) , and create a situation like urs and then think wat he/she wud if it were u....

this will help u create masterpieces and ultimately resolve urself...........

commit urself totally to ur commitments ....

    gud luck 4 future...n smile a lottt;)
